“ This cozy cafe always hits the spot. BLT 5/5 I normally don't order these, but pregnancy cravings are real. Perfectly juicy tomato, crunchy lettuce, and flavorful bacon make for a delish combo. Bee sting latte 5/5 not overly sweet, not too milky, loved having the refreshing coffee drink to wash down my sandwich. ”
“ Absolutely wonderful macarons, for a great Valentine's Day special. Around holidays, they will do an order ahead for pickup on the website. Good parking and decent amount of cozy seating indoors and outdoors. Very busy cafe and bakery. ”
“ I have been here more times than I care to count. But I can tell you the number one reason why I go is for the special occasion linzer cookies. They're only available on Christmas and Valentine's Day. Instead of having powdered sugar on top, they have some sort of glaze. I order their special occasion boxes just to get one of the Linzer cookies. Coffees are as delicious as they are beautiful. Being located at Pike and Rose, there's always a robust crowd. But most of the tables are not for laptops, so seating is never an issue. But there is a small dedicated area for those who want to bring their laptop to work. They also have a full food menu. Highly recommend the breakfast choices, as well as the lunch sandwiches that come on fresh made croissants. ”
“ Finally paid this place a visit. It has it all- ample seating, extensive food and drink selections, the aesthetics! I can't wait to pay a visit to the Mclean location once it opens soon! ”
“ Sunday Morning Bakehouse was the perfect spot, even on a Monday afternoon! My friend and I managed to snag a spot in the back. The cafe was quite crowded, and for good reason! The drinks and pastries are delicious. We had a great view of the pastry chef, who skillfully and quickly rolled up dough to make more chocolate croissants. PISTACHIO LATTE - 6.25 If you are planning on consuming the latte at the cafe, definitely get it "for here." The rim was partially decorated with crushed pistachios, which really enhanced the natural pistachio flavor. The drink itself didn't have a lot of pistachio syrup, but the pistachio rim was enough for me. It was a smooth latte with good espresso flavors. I would definitely recommend! My friend and I shared a CHOCOLATE CROISSANT (4.95) which was buttery, flaky, and filled with slightly melted chocolate chunks. I also got a CHOCOLATE CHIP BANANA BREAD (4.50) to enjoy the next day, and it was still moist and delicious with a pour-over black coffee. ”
“ Went in at a busy time so there was a wait of 15 minutes. I had a large order and when they called me up my drinks were missing. I had to wait another 6 minutes for those drinks once they located the ticket and it was watery. Beyond that, every baked good I picked up was delicious. We frequent the shop often for croissants and so worth sharing that they make great croissants. Ambiance is much like a coffee shop so great for takeout. ”
“ Love is Sunday morning My husband and I stopped by Sunday Morning Bakehouse again, and as always, it was worth it! Every time we come here, the line is so long, and we always joke, "Next time, next time." But this time, we said, "Let's just stand in line, haha!" And honestly, we're never disappointed. Their baked goods are consistently amazing -- you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The croissants are perfectly flaky, the pastries are rich and flavorful, and everything tastes like it's made with so much care. Even with the wait, it's always worth it. Can't wait for our next time! ”
“ Favorite go to meeting spot for young professionals to new moms to shoppers just passing by, Sunday Morning Bakehouse is a consistent standout among the dense scattering of coffee/tea/food spots in the Pike & Rose shopping and dining complex. Pastries are on the sweeter side and the drinks are distinct-tasting (you'll have to try them yourself to see how they compare to other places) but all is consistently well-made and tasty! The establishment definitely has a cozy community feel (and a comfy lounging space towards the back with sofa and upholstered seating) but beware the tables lined up along the side are VERRRRY close together so it's easy to sweep someone else's drink onto the floor if you try to squeeze onto the bench side without first removing your backpack, coat, etc. Service is pleasant albeit a little slow. Despite having two baristas working hard, a small crowd is always at the counter waiting for upwards of 15mins to grab their drinks. Parking is annoying but there is a garage nearby (watch the tight corners and entitled drivers) and enough turnover that on a good day you might be able to snag a spot in the street. ”
“ So this was my spot to visit and hang out whenever my husband would be out of town on work trips. I decided to let him in on my secret and he's been a fan ever since! Our fan favorites are the chocolate chip cookie, coffee cake and he loves the cinnamon sugar donut and of course the Latte isn't bad either. They offer friendly service and seems to be a popular spot for the area. ”
“ Piketoberfest was occurring in the Pike & Rose area and when I saw a booth for Sunday Morning Bakehouse, I decided to see what new offerings their storefront had. As I entered, I saw pumpkin decorations as we were in the month of Halloween. Here is what I got on this visit: Mini Apple Croissant - as it is mini, it went quick. Chocolate Chip Banana Bread - this is so good (next time I will have to get two). Twice Baked Apple Butter Crumble - described with cinnamon francipane, housemade apple butter, topped with apple cranola. I can't remember if I liked this one or not, but what I do remember is eating all of it - that says something, I guess. Visited October 2024. ”
